Mike Rudd sez

Travel to America? No thanks. This is one of the consequences of our burgeoning National (in)Security State: tourists will increasingly go elsewhere; and let's face it, since our economy is for all intents and purposes a "service economy," tourism may be all we've got. I really can't blame folks like Rudd, as the message European travelers receive from DHS is one of "we want your money, but we reserve the right to do a full body cavity search of your elderly grandmother because we've decided she looks like a terrorist." As Rudd aptly points out, there are so many other places one could go and have a good time, without all the hassles.
