A modest proposal

Garvey's Ghost suggests that O'Reilly, Savage, and Hannity, who incited David Adkisson to go on a shooting spree at a Knoxville Unitarian church should get the same treatment as the cleric whose words apparently incited the first attack on the WTC in the 1990s - if we were to follow the logic used to put that cleric in jail in the first place. After all, Adkisson was certainly reading a lot of their literature, which was discovered in his home. And:
Not only that but Adkisson thought that he would have been killed by police. That makes him no different than a suicide bomber. Therefore, by the logic used by the justice system, Michael Savage, Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly ought to be arrested and tried for incitement to terrorism. by the legal precedent provided by the cleric's conviction, this is a clear and easy case to convict.

For reasons I don't think I need to explain here, I don't expect any such actions to be taken against those men.
Not to worry, neither Garvey's Ghost nor myself would advocate criminalizing speech, no matter how unsavory. We just don't like the double-standards that will no doubt be applied.
