Today's howler

Mythmaker Larry Johnson is at it again:
Sarah’s [Palin] authenticity, like that of Joe the Plumber, has struck a chord with average Americans that the media elites don’t comprehend.
If Larry Johnson says it's so, it's gotta be (in)credible. Both Palin and Joe the Plumber have proven to be phonies.

If you can stand to wade through the sewer, a few examples of Johnson's brand of storytelling can be found here, here, here, and here.

When silly season turns into freaky season

We must be in the home stretch before the election finally happens - not only has the rhetoric been ugly, but some of the, um, "activism" has grown uglier. Personally I thought 2004 was pretty bad. This go-around seems in a class by itself.

P.S. Sorry I've been a bit out of the loop lately. I've had other matters to deal with.
